Support the Franklin Food Bank at our annual Empty Bowls event, a grassroots community fundraiser dedicated to fighting local food insecurity. This unique experience brings together artists, volunteers, and neighbors to ensure no bowl in our community goes unfilled.

Why Attend Empty Bowls?

Empty Bowls is more than just a meal; it is a powerful reminder of the “empty bowls” many of our neighbors face daily. When you join us, you’re not just attending an event—you’re participating in a movement of Neighbors helping Neighbors.

  • Handcrafted Art: Take home a beautiful, hand-crafted ceramic bowl as a symbol of your support.
  • Local Impact: 100% of proceeds directly fund the Franklin Food Bank’s mission to provide fresh, nutritious food to families in need.
  • Community Connection: Meet fellow community members committed to sustainable hunger relief and social impact.

The Rising Tides of Hunger is a transformative poetry competition designed to empower K-12 students in Franklin Township to confront the intertwined challenges of food insecurity and climate change.

Through the art of poetry, students will not only hone their literacy and oratory skills but also develop a profound understanding of the systemic forces that threaten our communities.

This collaborative initiative, led by the Franklin Food Bank in partnership with the Franklin Township School District and Villagers Theatre, aims to ignite civic engagement, foster critical thinking, and inspire tangible solutions for a sustainable future.
