Group Volunteering

Invest in Your Neighbors. A strong community starts with local action. Bring your team to the Franklin Food Bank for a 90-minute, high-impact shift. It’s more than just a volunteer day; it’s an opportunity for your company, group or organization to be a champion for dignity, respect, and food security in our community.

Guidelines

We recommend a group size between 8–10 people (10 is our maximum; a minimum of 6 is required to safely run the shift). All volunteers must be 17+.

We offer a 90-minute high-impact shift from 10:00 am – 11:30 am on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays only.

Our 2026 calendar is currently open! We encourage you to schedule your dates for the entire year in advance to ensure your preferred impact dates are secured.

We require a list of participant emails one week prior to your date. This allows us to send “What to Expect” information and point-of-contact details directly to your team.

What to Expect on Site

Our facility is at 224 Churchill Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873. Parking is available on Shirley Avenue, directly across from our facility (a very short walk).

You will be on your feet for the entire 90-minute shift. Sneakers or sturdy work boots are mandatory. Please wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty!

Tasks vary daily based on community needs but may include repacking items, deep cleaning our market, organizing/restocking shelves, or sorting produce.

Impact & Memories: We love to brag about you! We will take photos of your group to share, and following the event, we will send over specific impact data regarding the work we accomplished together.

We are a small, volunteer-led organization with an equally small staff. We truly rely on groups like yours to help us fulfill our mission.
