Tour De Franklin – A Charity Bike Ride
Sunday, April 24, 2016
The 27th Annual Tour de Franklin will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016. The Tour de Franklin is the Food Bank’s largest fundraiser. This charity bike ride is an opportunity to bring avid cyclists, local schools, and the Franklin Township community together for one day to support a local cause – fighting hunger.
Over the past 27 years we have grown from a few cyclists ranging from the hard-core cyclist to a family out for a neighborhood ride or even walk. Because of this growth, we are moving the Tour to a larger location – Franklin High School. We will still have our many events throughout the day but the routes will obviously be different, some might even take you through beautiful Colonial Park.
Choose your ride between the:
- Thor Labs Metric Century Ride
- Premier Development’s 40 Mile Rides of Franklin
- 25 Mile
- 10 Mile
- 1-5 Mile Walk/Ride
- Events on the D&R Canal Tow Path
Registration includes a continental breakfast, manned rest stops to hydrate along the way, lunch, and a bike drawing. Remember to register early so you can get a commemorative Tour de Franklin t-shirt. Last year we had about 600 participants raising over $50,000 for the Food Bank.
