Nutrition Education

One Friday a month we flip our market into a classroom and offer a bilingual educational Nutrition discussion complete with a healthy, hands-on cooking demonstration.

Participants are encouraged to add their thoughts, ideas and questions and there’s always a handful of eager students who join in on the cutting, mixing, plating and serving of healthy delicious affordable dishes! Everyone leaves with a large bag of fresh produce, recipes, information from the lecture and kitchen tools such as measuring cups, peelers etc.

The Franklin Food Bank launched a pilot nutrition class a our facility in partnership with Zufall Health and taught by the State of New Jersey’s SNAP Educators.

We invite everyone in our local community to make an investment in your health. Once a month attendees are able to receive information about healthy foods that support a healthy body, mind, and spirit!
