In 2023 we began a Backpack Program in partnership with the local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Greater Somerset County YMCA. Currently we are in two Franklin Township elementary schools, Elizabeth Avenue and Hillcrest.

How does it work? Students receiving Free and Reduced Lunch Program assistance qualify for participation in this program where on a weekly basis we provide healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner items for the weekend that are simple to prepare and as nutritious as possible.
