About Empty Bowls
Our generous Empty Bowls Committee founded this town event 7 years ago! Bob and Ceil Cherill, and Susan Seamon led Empty Bowls with a lot of passion and determination. We’re so thankful for their leadership. Read more about their efforts on their Empty Bowls website. However ‘Empty Bowls’ is a grassroots global movement to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. The concept is for us to acknowledge, fill, and empty bowls within our community by our community. Artists have created the beautiful bowls as a symbol for attendees to keep as a reminder of the movement. Read more about the origin of Empty Bowls here.
